A technique developed by the author to create a tangible, 3D-printed model from CBCT DICOM files accurately reproducing the surgical anatomy, its utility in planning an endodontic microsurgery in an anatomically complex mandibular premolar case where the mental foramen was in close proximity to the surgical site, and the final outcome.
Our 10-minute video aims to introduce dental students and any first-time users to dental loupes, elaborating on important aspects in a simplified, yet scientific and evidence-based way. It’s meant to be a guide which helps them choose the correct magnification and light, specific to their individual measurements. Our video also educates dental students on the importance of maintaining good posture and ergonomics to prevent any future cumulative neck or back injuries.

A great part of nutrition comes from the patient’s ability to eat, but due to much of the geriatric population’s missing dentition and lack of dental care, eating and proper nutrition become very difficult to do on a daily basis. We noticed this from our very first visit to the TODCO (Tenants and Owners Development Corporation) site in San Francisco during our first year.
