Community Outreach for Public Education ( at the
University of the Pacific, Arthur A Dugoni School of Dentistry
conducted a follow up survey among dental students in the class of
IDS 2020 DDS 2021 DDS 2020 The purpose of the survey was to
gauge the interest of dental students in participating in extramural
clinical enrichment programs as well as survey their interest in a
public health selective The data from the 2019 survey is presented in a
statistical form and is also compared to the data received from a
similar survey conducted in both 2018 and 2016

Patient presented to emergency clinic with pain on tooth #4. Pulpal vitality testing revealed that the
tooth had lingering sensitivity to cold, no sensitivity to percussion or palpation.

Patient came for an emergency appointment with the chief complaint: “My front tooth is moving, and I want to fix it immediately”

A 33-year old female patient presented for #14 and #15 re-treatment of root canals performed 8 years prior.

Our team wanted to provide oral screening for the underserved community of downtown San Francisco for our PIP project. We originally planned to do just oral screening and oral health instructions, but we seeked to do more to do more to make a difference in the lives of others. Accordingly, we decided to provide fluoride gel as well, to strengthen the teeth of those we treated in the community.

The use of 3D printing in reproducing anatomically accurate teaching resources in medicine has been explored and has also been implemented more widely in certain fields of dentistry such as oral surgery and prosthodontics. Within the recent years, it has started to gain more interest and implementation in the field of endodontics as well.
